Longbenton City Learning Centre opened in 2003. The Centre has five air conditioned learning spaces accommodating up to 100 learners. The Centre hosts North Tyneside LA's ICT special needs resource base and has a number of specialist facilities including a media studio (television and audio) and CAD/CAM facilities. Longbenton CLC is a founding member of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust's ICT Register, an Immersive Education registered training centre, an Apple Regional Training Centre and hosts staff from North Tyneside's Learning Portal Team.
